DIY Toothpaste

I have a love-hate relationship with this toothpaste… I love, love, love how it makes my teeth feel, how inexpensive it is and how easy it is to make. I don’t love how I have to get it on the toothbrush–dip into the jar with my finger and spread it on the toohbrush–just one extra step. It doesn’t taste as “yummy” as store bought toothpastes, doesn’t spread as well, but it’s natural, good for you, whitens teeth and feels fantastic, so at this point, it’s what I use!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 Tbsp. sea salt
6 drops  doTerra OnGuard* essential oil
6 drops Peppermint essential oil
1 tsp. stevia (optional-great for kids though!)

Mix all ingredients together and store in a glass container.

*On Guard is dōTERRA’s unique, proprietary blend formulated to support healthy immune function.* Wild orange essential oil, combined with clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary offer a fragrant, natural and effective alternative to synthetic options for immune support.

Thank you for this recipe. I’m going to replace the stevia with xylitol as it (xylitol) is actually said to be good for the health of your teeth.
